Getting that perfect shot is not luck. You have to look for the best angle and test out your shots. Then, start staging. Flex those muscles, it is more than adding props, though they always help. You may need to move furniture to get your shot. Next in line is getting camera angle tightened up & tweaking it. Now it is time for mood lighting. Use a tripod and watch how the light changes as the time goes by. Wait for that magical 10 minutes when the light and sky are in balance. Always try to get exactly what you want while shooting. It is beneficial to have more options in Photoshop. Try shooting normal, over exposed to get more detail in the darks, and under exposed to get darker highlights. This will allow you to have the resources you need for enhancing your photographs in Photoshop. To get here... You have to be here first. To get the perfect illumination Experiment with all types of light & darkness. For that perfect balance... you have to try & try again.
